If NB is your definition of dump, that's pretty sad

But you are giving him the wrong info about how NB is b/c it is not a dump. Is it as nice as Wantagh, no, but hardly a dump

I dont know what housing prices you are looking at, but the homes we were looking at in North Bellmore were all priced the same, or even higher, than some homes in South Bellmore. The reason we chose NB is because we didnt want to deal with a flood zone.
The values in NB are holding steady and even rising in certain sections. For our home, the sellers only paid $5K more in 2006 than what we paid in 2016. Plus, There were several homes we saw in the area that sold only w/in weeks of being listed and some that sold over-ask. And all of these homes required updates or had C/O issues.
So I guess your definition of a dump is different than mine. Why not just admit you dont like black/brown people in your town?

Another home we saw on Phyllis Drive, a non-updated split that had a converted garage, went into a bidding war and sold for over $550K.

If you're okay with a strip club, a war torn looking Mosque, section 8 apartments, good for you. Enjoy it!

That's ONE tiny area that'll sell to city people who think N Bellmore is a nice place. And it is, compared to the city. But for Long Island, compared to what it was...it's a dump.

LOL..Seriously, this is how you judge a town? by 3 buildings? The home we just closed on is north of the SSP bordering East Meadow and driving past apartment buildings, a mosque that hardly has any activity, and a strip club that is only open in limited hours, really doesn't bother me. I'd rather have that than live in a mansion where my neighbors drive Jaguars but their kids are doped out on heroin.
