You JUST posted this in THIS thread, this month:

"Try to focus on the areas between Merrick & Sunrise. North - South. South of Sunrise in Merrick & Bellmore are zoned for Kennedy HS. North or Sunrise Merrick & Bellmore are zoned for Calhoun. And Bellmore Ave. to Newbridge Ave. East-West for that price range.IMHO those are the best areas. I know a home that friend is now working on to sell arounds August. He purchased many Sandy damaged homes is repairing them & then selling &/or Renting them.

AS for commute time. If you plan to use LIRR most of the areas I told you about you can either walk to the LIRR. Or bike, cab,Uber, taxi to train. OR have someone drop you off. 2 people on our block car pool to station. They also have parking stickers showing they live in town.

South of Sunrise looks nicer basically because that is where the waterfront home are. Those people usually have more dollars & keep up with the appearances of their properties. As for avoid. Try to stay clear of the area around Newbridge Rd. where it meets with Bellmore Ave. Feel free to PM me for more info. I am not a realtor. But I know Bellmore very well."

What did you mean by avoid where Newbridge Rd meets Bellmore Ave???? And to PM you???? What's at the meeting of Newbridge and Bellmore Lori?? Say it!!! Lmao.

GIVE IT UP!!

A difference of opinion doesn't make one a troll. Nice try though.

By calling a place a "dump" without any supporting facts, is not expressing an opinion. Its clearly posted for the purspose of inciting argument - very much in line w/ your antagonistic stance on Loribell's prior posts which clearly were posted before you even created your C-D account. So yes, you are a troll.
You're no legal diva, let me tell you, lol.

I posted that it was becoming more and more of a dump, and then backed up my claim. Nice try, again, lol.

By calling a place a "dump" without any supporting facts, does not fall under the purview of 'expressing an opinion'. Its clearly posted for the purpose of inciting argument - very much in line w/ your antagonistic stance on Loribell's prior posts which clearly were posted before you even created your C-D account. Her posts regarding that mosque AND north bellmore as a whole are IN THIS THREAD, after I created my account. She posted in June about avoiding North Bellmore, and where Bellmore meets Newbridge, but to PM her for reasons...wink wink. You can try to hang your hat on my new account, but her recent, and past, posts are indisputable.

No way, you offered that comment to the OP and THEN told OP to PM you so you could give details about why to avoid Newbridge Rd and Bellmore Ave. you volunteered to avoid N Bellmore, specifically that area...this month. You cannot skirt around it, Lori!

So I haven't been on here in God knows how long. But my friend is and asked me to opine on North Bellmore. I've read comments like these before and have actively commented myself. I kinda understand what Star Wars was saying originally. North Bellmore definitely isn't what it used to be. Particularly where I grew up off Beltagh and Bellmore Avenue. North of Jerusalem is still looking good. I don't care for the areas from north of Beltagh to south of Jerusalam. On a positive note I see a lot of commerce going up on Sunrise which is good. Bedford Avenue is much better than it ever was when I grew up there. It's not a great town like Massapequa Park has but it's still nice to spend an evening whether it's see a movie or get a bite to eat. The schools are still highly regarded although Kennedy really pulls up the scores. I also don't like the areas where Loribell says to avoid. It's grungy. I agree with Star Wars that the mosque never tried to become part of the community. There are a lot of nice looking mosques on Long Island but they decided to convert a Friendly's into a mosque with huge cheap fencing. That section 8 housing was always there at least since I was a kid there in the early 80's. I agree with Star Wars in that there's a bit of a ghetto developing in that area and I understand what he means by ghetto. He's not speaking of crime ridden areas. I would never repurchase in North Bellmore because it's not the North Bellmore of my childhood. But what is really? There are towns that do not change that much and I think it's attributed to the presence of first responder residents. Towns like Star Wars mentioned. All that being said, yes North Bellmore is not the town I remember but it has moved in a much better direction these past two years and will continue to do so. New construction is selling and new buyers from the boroughs are moving in, which is great. All in all, it's more of a citified suburb, kinda like how Lynbrook or Baldwin was. Which isn't bad. But it's just not my thing anymore. You have to move way out east to have the quiet towns that used to be. Apologies for my long rant and no paragraph breaks! I gave up going on here because I became addicted. But I just wanted to chime in just once. Take care to my fellow Bellmorites!

Off the wagon?
Surely there has to be a recovering CD addict support group?
Maybe there is a forum on CD?

We are about to purchase a home in Bellmore near the LIRR, the town seems very nice and quiet, but any thoughts about the area right by the LIRR at night? Is it safe to walk at night? As I get off work quit late close to midnights
