Town of brookhaven has a separate recycling center. It also does not need recyclables to be separated out paper, and glass can go together. Supposedly it has saved the town a lot of money.

Making money too. Because they got the system so streamlined, Smithtown pays to dump all their recyclables with them.
Maybe the recycling program is working so well, the landfill is not filling up as quickly. That's why the closure of it was delayed so much. Or did I mix up towns?
I just got a phone call from the town of north hempstead.
They were great.
They said they appreciated I called and that they'll make sure this doesn't happen again.
He also encouraged me to call if it happens again.
I suggest you guys do the same if you see they're throwing all the recyclables in the same truck.
