LONGISLANDGASPRICES.com is a site where people post the cost per gallon at various stations around the area. There is a link of "helpful tips" to conserve gas...the top two are intriguing...

1 Avoid High Speeds. As your speed increases, your aerodynamic drag increases in an exponential fashion. Driving 62 mph (100 km/h) vs 75 mph (120 km/h) will reduce fuel consumption by about 15%.
2 Do Not Accelerate or Brake Hard. By anticipating the traffic and applying slow steady acceleration and braking, fuel economy may increase by as much as 20%.

How could we all get through the day without someone blowing by you doing 90 on the LIE or 65 in a 30 near a school!!!

And what would life be like if we all didn't have that guy stomping on his gas pedal at a green light to get ahead of you.

What a silly list!! :-)

....or some imbecile in front of you that has to stomp on their brake pedal every 15 feet in well-moving traffic.....

.... or the morons who just HAVE to "look" at the guy stopped by the SP on the side of the Southern State......

.... which reminds me of the ones who can't help but come to a complete stop to "look" at a car accident......

(the things I listed mess with your gas consumption because, if you're moving well in traffic and have to stop/go, stop/go due to the above you're wasting gas.....
