All true, but I wouldn't do any conclusion-jumping based on that. Many schools don't participate in the various lists/rankings for a variety of reasons. Cold Spring Harbor and Wheatley, for example, are not on the list.

You would have to determine whether or not Seaford or Wantagh participated to make any sort of judgment (assuming the particular criteria for the particular list/ranking itself is sound, relevant, or reliable...).

(It seems I write in with a similar comment every time a new list/ranking emerges...)

Agree. The rankings are stupid. Hewlett is listed this year and has not been in years past. I am sure it was just as good a school when it wasn't on here. I don't see South Side or Roslyn on here either, which are among the best high schools on Long Island.

I'd prefer the small high school. In Massapequa you are just a number.

BTW Newsweek also ranked Baldwin a top school district a few years back.

The area where everyone got flooded out during Sandy and borders East Massapequa (Ghetto)? No thanks.

my self and my sisters graduated from MHS back in the late 80s early 90s, it was a good school district, very "vanilla" as far as demographics go, not too much diversity. I lived in Massapequa Park, nice place to grow up and got a good education in the 3 schools I attended there.

My parents still live there, when I go back, looks same as it ever was, except for their taxes
