Looking for Cheap Clean Secure storage facility please (Plainview, Garden City: how much, college)

Hi - wondering if anyone can recommend a cheap, clean, safe storage facility in Nassau county & I think I'd rather have self-storage. Any idea of cost, how they work and your experience with them would be appreciated. I have stuff to store until I sought out how much room I'll have in new digs but have no experience using storage facilities. Thank you.
We used the one on Stewart Avenue in Garden City by the College, clean, well lit and reasonable with relation to others but this was 3 years ago. Check for internet specials and call to see what they have available.

Ok thanks I'll look into it. Was that Public Storage? That's the only one I found. And it is temperature controlled? I am told not all of them are and I'm not sure if that cost extra or not. I appreciate your response.
I personally used the one in Plainview...right off the LIE (Sunnyside Blvd)...name is Extra Storage Space. Temp. controlled facility as well. The prices I paid is a bit outdated but it was pretty cheap & accessible since its right off the LIE (495). You can save a few more bucks by taking the 2nd floor over the ground floor.

I didn't know that - thanks. Will have to see if its cheap enough to outweigh the drive. Will bookmark mark them and check into it .
