Hello all, question..

They keep on building new stuff in riverhead, but the old walmart site is still abandoned since they built the new one there, and sports authority shut down, so now 2 big box stores empty.

Anyone hear any rumors as to what will replace them?

And has anything replaced the old waldaums?

Maybe another supermarket? Stop and shop has pretty bad sales, gala fresh that replaced the old King Kullen, half the items there are in spanish I dont understand and none of the employees that work there speak english to even help you its like a spanish only store.

Some of this stuff is dependent upon the property owner.
It might sit vacant for years because the rent or selling price is too high and the owner is an ignorant greedy bubble head who still thinks it's 1997.
Doesn't mean the property wasn't scoped out or lack of interest. Greedy owner might be the issue.
