What would be the most economical way to get to LaGuardia?
I'm leaving on Saturday. LIRR, bus, other?
Thanks in advance. My tablet is having loads of problems with the LIRR website.
Take the LIRR to woodside and take the bus. There are signs in the station. I've taken the bus from woodside to LGA and it was better than I expected. It's slow going inJackson heights but after that it's reasonable. Just give yourself plenty of time.

take the Q70 LTD from Woodside. It's a newer route they implemented about 3yrs ago. From Woodside it makes 1 stop then off to LGA and takes the highway it's super easy and fast I have taken it 5-6x from Hicksville.

That's the one i took. It's a good system, and I cringe at the gigantic waste of money that the planned AirTrain from Flushing will be. Woodside is convenient for NYC AND Long Island people. Flushing only benefits people in Flushing and on the Port Washington Branch (who already have direct access to Woodside!!!!) And NYC people can also easily reach LGA via the M60 bus which works very well, too.

Traffic around LaGuardia has become horrendous since the major construction projects got under way. Buses and taxis are not immune to the problems.
The simplest way to get there without a car is probably to take the LIRR to Penn Station and then Amtrak to Philadelphia and transfer to the train that goes to the Philadelphia Airport and get a flight to LaGuardia.
You can catch the n20H bus to the n20G bus at the Great neck LIRR. Then take the n20G to flushing to catch the 7 train to the 61st Street–Woodside station to take the Q70 bus. This trip will likely take about 3 hours, so plan accordingly.

That's absolutely crazy. Hicksville direct to woodside is the way to go.

Hah. Backup plan is to make your way to east Elmhust and walk from there. It's probably doable without a lot of bags.
