They are cheap, so cheap that they are actually not a bad deal. They may not last too long but then you can buy a replacement and still spend less than one of the name brand ones. They also have a lot of other good stuff, and it's just fun to look around.
I've bought a few of their power tools... sawzall is very effective. The electric impact wrench is nearly useless, at least on lugnuts (couldn't take off 100lb/ft). Not a power tool, but their torque wrench I always use. Very good pricing all around.
Every time I'm in there, I feel the need to leave before I buy more paperweights. I mean, some are useful but I feel like I get things for one-time usage a lot there. Another example is the multimeter, but at least that was free. That's how they get you in!!!
Handtools are fine, I got a pad for my bosch orbital sander $4 there $15 at homedepot and its been fine for 2 years. If you just need power tools for minimal use there stuff is fine. I have a 100psi compressor its 4yrs old and cost $30 it's $40 now I use it for my brad nailer and it's great. I did buy a impact driver to have a second one when I was building my deck. It worked fine, I already had a variable speed 18v Ridgid. Compared to that it was ok.
And this is why our economy is in the tank. Everyone wants to pay bottom dollar for goods that americans can make. Its a bad long term strategy. I love that place. Lmao .. great tools and gadgets.
^ Well it's true. People hire cheap labor but complain about their presence. Trump uses 3rd world countries because it helps the bottom line. Don't use them (pay higher costs) or quit complaining.
