Yup, town money grab. There's no reason whatsoever for them to require the surveys of neighboring homes if there is no change or intrusion to front setback.

I read threads about ToNH being a pain in the ass. But damn, this is a little ridiculous. I can see the architect making an extra hour or two of billable work. Not much for the town to make.

If they don't have the surveys, you have to pay to get your neighbors homes surveyed? Ouch. Your neighbors ain't going to like that if they had an illegal work done.
