That's true obnoxious loud disruptive kids with their moron parents doing nothing to quiet them is far more annoying than a small poodle on a leash making no noise at all .
I have always had multiple dogs, mostly large like labs and golden retrievers with smaller dogs -- all Jack Russell terriers. When my dogs are in the yard, each dog has a special whistle to call it in. Another whistle calls the group. I don't take them (single or group) into stores except Petco or the groomer. I don't let them run loose and stop them when they bark in the yard.
Many of my friends have multiple dogs as they are rescues just like 3 of the 4 I own.
1st let me say I am a dog owner and love my dog. With that being said, I am tired of people bringing their dogs to stores and putting them in the shopping carts. Just back from Stein Mart in Commack and there is a woman putting her dog (about 20 llbs of dog) into a shopping cart. Leave your dog at home!!
And don't start with it's a "comfort" animal or a "service" animal. It is not servicing anyone from the shopping cart.
Ok, my rant is over.
Dogs are part of the family. The dogs are their children. I have not seen this happening in my neighborhood.
Give me a cat anytime. Dogs are sweet but they're like special ed children. You always have to take care of them and plan your lives around them. Cats.....bowl of a dry food, fresh litter and an open flushed toilet and you can leave for 4 days.
Now I am at a casino in Ct, which is not dog friendly and coming off the elevator is a little dog (maybe maltese) no leash, no service jacket with 2 guys. Service animal, comfort animal or just people who just want to bring the dog where it does not belong.
