We bought a house in Nassau in September and i registered for the Star Exemption online (it was simple and quick) - do I need to do anything else or thats it?

The reason I ask is because I see that people are filling out a physical form (https://www.nassaucountyny.gov/Docum...ter/View/11879).

I am trying to get through to the nassau county phone # but nobody picks up.. On the general info line the machine just tells me that for my property the 2015/2016 Star Exemption was processed under the previous owner.

Thanks.

In the form online, it will ask you who is the new owner, etc. I was wondering if we need submit any documents like deed, etc to the nassau county.

We also just bought a house, and I filled the form out online. According to all the directions, I've done everything I need to do, but I'd still feel better if they sent some sort of confirmation e-mail or letter to the house or something. It just feels incomplete....

I agree, but they do give you a confirmation code, and if you are nervous, like I am, you can call Albany, and give them the code, and they'll confirm whether you are processed.
