You asked “what changed” and I’m telling you what changed. I’m not stating it’s negative or positive. It’s just how things work in NYC (and by extension LI).

Take Canarsie, Old Mill Basin, and Georgetown in BK. They’re not bad neighborhood by any means but you only see whites selling and no whites or Asians buying. Why is that?

This is what I'm trying to figure out, especially since there are schools in both of these communities that have been Blue Ribbon School winners. Valley Stream Central HS got the award in 2022, Shaw Avenue School in Valley Stream won it in 2013 and Elmont HS in 1991. Can look here and just search for NY schools: https://portal.nationalblueribbonsch...chools/history

Recent information for those schools and in order...

Valley Stream Central: https://data.nysed.gov/profile.php?instid=800000049246

Shaw Avenue: https://data.nysed.gov/profile.php?instid=800000049264

Gotta ask them. But I don’t see what neighborhoods in Brooklyn have to do with Valley Stream. I don’t see any change and I’m familiar with Valley Stream. Houses and parks look the same to me. Maybe an increase in vehicular traffic, but thats everywhere at this point. Even had family living there for a minute. They moved because the property taxes got too expensive. I think its still a good area but everyone is welcome to their own opinion.

Houses and parts looks the same in Canarsie, Old Mill Basin , and Georgetown in BK too. Yet whites and Asians rather spend $200K more and live in other neighborhoods. Why?

Valley Stream is ok but isn't the next town Corona (Queens)? That has been dangerous as hell since the early 90s. That is probably a big reason unless something has changed.

not even close.

Not sure which is worse: Being so unaware that you think these two areas border each other (yet you still felt the need to comment) or being too lazy to look it up?

Ask them.

You keep bringing up these Brooklyn neighborhoods that have no relevance to the thread.

I'll just leave it at this. I think Valley Stream has always been a good area, and it still is.

Of course it has relevance. Furthermore, "Good" is a very relative term. A Honda Accord is a "good" car for most people. For others who drive only luxury cars or want a luxury car, a Honda Accord isn't a "good" car.

Neither is worse. It’s a big nothing. I thought what is said was correct, guess I was wrong. I’m not too lazy to look it up. I just have very little interest in it since it has no affect on me. It I did and I realize that I meant to say Rosedsle. Everything else I said is correct.

So you struggle with simple geography AND basic sentences. Anything else?
Maybe don't say anything at all if you don't know much about the topic at hand?
