I am moving to new york with my family as I am joining a company in new hyde park. I am searching for apartment near by new hyde park where indian community resides. your suggestions are most welcome. thanks.
New Hyde Park is a good location for Indians.
I suggest finding a real estate company for you to look at or use Zillow, Trulia, MLSLI to search for homes yourself.
We don't know your budget but if it's too expensive, i suggest looking at Hicksville. Houses are cheaper there but further away but it is a growing Indian population.
We don't know how many bedrooms you need or what your budget is.
You stated "family" so I'm going to assume spouse and at least one child.
In New Hyde Park, there are currently four 3-bedroom and four 4-bedroom rentals. All but one have two bathrooms; the most expensive one has 3 bathrooms.

What kind of religion do you do an is it important and you want to be around it?
Hicksville has a whole neighborhood called "little india" with cultural shops, etc. I work with a lot of Indians who live in the area and they like it. New Hyde Park does seem to have a large population as well.
I agree with the above Hicksville may be a better alternative. It's more affordable too and it's bustling. Fantastic indian food options - vegetarian and non-vegetarian in Hicksville maybe more so than even NHP.
New Hyde Park definitely has a large Indian population, especially the parts in the Herricks School District. Down on Hillside near Lakeville Road, the strip of stores now house Indian markets, restaurants and clothing shops.
