Big bucks. Can be a headache without proper care.
They have gotten better over the years.

I have one and love it. Keeps pool nice and warm without having to use my heater. I actually have not used the heater since May and the pool is around 85 degrees. Keeps the leaves and bugs out when not in use and the extra safety factor having little kids is great.

We have one, but being that we've only had it a week, our experience is rather limited. So far, so good.

It is great, but can be expensive to maintain. Also, much simpler when done on a new pool rather than retrofitted. We have had our for 7 years. Already replaced the cover and ropes once. One of the motor parts broke but that was replaced under warranty.

We absolutely love ours and think it was a great investment. We got it for safety reasons with little kids, but it keeps the pool clean and SO WARM. We would definitely get one again. It gives me such peace of mind to know that there is an extra layer of safety keeping my little kids out of the pool.

I haven't noticed any maintenance issues. The pool guy cleans it out at the end of every season. We got a tiny hole in it and the pool company patched it up. You have to put a pump on top of it when it rains heavily (we just leave the pump on most of the time when it is closed up).
