Area is safe... Lots of friends in the neighborhood. Near Cornwell is nice as well.

Anyone know how the rest of West Hempstead is? Just wondering, I grew up there and have not been back in nearly 20 years.

Still pretty decent although Hempstead Turnpike looks more run down around the old Shoppers Village. There is still a huge Jewish population and the presidential section is seeing lots of expanded capes etc. The area by the Hebrew Academy (HANC) is still very nice.
