Any advice/info would be appreciated!
if you put the kayak in the water at the park on Jericho Tpke (NY25) in Smithtown (south side, just east of the bull) and paddle north, you can stop at the park just past the Landing Ave. bridge (on the right). There is also an inlet by Niss. River State park on the left where you can stop at the beach (just before Niss River enters the LI Sound).
Have fun.

The Peconic River out in Eastern Suffolk seems pretty legit, never been there, but maybe worth a visit. https://paddling.com/paddle/trips/pe...2.6805&zoom=13

I live in Nassau so it seems a bit far but I will definitely check it out since I am planning to try new places every week (weather permitted)! Thanks!
