Hi, I'm looking to see if anyone has any recommendations for installing drains and piping to correct a low laying area that collects water in our yard. We have one quote, but I haven't seen a whole lot of places advertising this sort of service. Thanks in advance!
An option would be to install a drywell in the ground. May be a couple of thousand in labor+material. Most landscapers should be able to do this. Not knowing your layout, but simply just grading your yard may resolve the issue. If you're physically able and have the time to check some youtube, drainage is a pretty straightforward DIY .

The drains are needed in our front lawn, so grass/soil. Some landscapers have told us that there may be clay and no sand without going way down, so a dry well probably isn't the best solution. Unfortunately there is no way to change the grade to help, that was our first approach. Looking for drains that lead to a pipe that wraps around the house and exits in the backyard.
No, it just pools in the front yard and over a paver walkway we have. During a very heavy rain a few months ago a little water got in the garage where an exterior wall faces that part of the yard, but not the basement.
Have a test hole dug to determine the soil conditions. Typically there is layer of clay that is preventing proper drainage. It could be just a thin layer or it can be 30+ feet thick.
If its thin, easy fix.
If its thick, then look to reroute around to back.

I guess I should have been more clear. I am looking for people to recommend companies that they have used for this kind of work, so that the company can give me an estimate for the work that needs to be done.
I would call local cesspool companies, they know the soil in the area and can install drywells.
