Exactly! In the last few weeks I have received calls from: 631 544-5309, -2975, -5724, -4005, -6018, -2189, and -4376. Also, same calls from 631 201-XXXX. I now block 631-201-XXXX. I am in KP, so I don't want to block 631 544-XXXX. The call blocker and caller ID are great inventions.
Matt
Yes they are better at spoofing numbers to your local exchange now. Even nomorobo, which worked great with intercepting these calls (based on a national database of their own) after just 1 ring, has been failing to do so for the last month or so.
It's not always from the same number, so blocking is pointless.
Just about the only thing that you can do to combat this is accept only numbers already in your contact list. Let everyone else leave a message (which a few spammers actually do), but at least it no longer rings/vibrates.
I dont know why you say this and please be kind to people.
I say this because you have been on here many times before under different names. I wasn't born yesterday. I am not being mean I am being realistic. And don't deny it.
