How about Hewlett ? I've read there's a jewish portion and catholic portion. We really like split level homes and they have a good amount of them. Taxes are super high though. We don't want to be looked at like we don't belong though.

I personally would never, but that's a decision only you can make. It's a beautiful neighborhood, but not my cup of tea. It's not just living there to consider, it's restaurants, where you'll grocery shop, doctors, etc.

As far north and east as you can if you had to choose or tucked in the streets off of dogwood.

You are a rare breed. Not to people like split level homes. They are better than the idiotic high ranch and slanted ceiling cape.

Haha. I like the split levels where you don’t walk into stairs leading up or down. We liked one in valley stream, but sellers wanted too much and now they’ve been sitting on the market for 2 months. I hate capes too.
What do you guys think about Malverne ?

Great neighborhood, very community oriented. Terrible schools, most do private. Not sure if that is a factor for you.

That’s a high ranch. You walk into front door and there is small landing and 5-7 steps going up and down. Hands down stupidest home design ever. I lived in a split the strength is it’s weakness. The den on a diff level is great sometimes and other times terrible. I hated how we had no bathroom on level with kitchen, dinning and living room.
I don’t know much about malverne I’m a central/eastern Nassau and very western Suffolk person.

Taxes are pretty high for bad schools.
