Does anyone know what the elementary schools in the Northport-East Northport, Mineola, and Garden City districts are like? Thank you in advance!

Northport-East Northport has excellent elementary schools. Both of my kids attended Pulaski Road Elementary and my wife has worked in several of the elementary schools in the district. Staff is dedicated and caring, and parents are very involved.

Count yourself lucky if you can get a job in any of those districts. getting an elementry teaching position on LI is very difficult.

I speak only of Northport-East Northport:
The schools offer excellent curriculum and are well funded. Therefore you will find competitive compensation and benefits and support for key educational initiatives. However you will also encounter some very aggressive and heavily involved parents as well. Depending on the grade-level and location your experience will vary but in some K-5 schools there is a disproportionate amount of politics and PTA manipulation. Once you get into the middle and senior school(s) that becomes less of an issue.
