Long term parking for Winter (Merrick: apartment complexes, rent, safe)

I am based in Manhattan. My job is now work from home. I have a BMW 5 series which I need to park long term in safe and chap location outside Manhattan. Currently I am paying 400+ monthly with no use.

Please advice where I should look or any pointers. I heard I should try Apartment complexes in long-island and jersey which has standalone garages. How does this sound? What are other options?

Are you looking for a place in Queens or can you go as far as Long Island? You could look on craigs list or advertise in Newsday.

In all seriousness though. I would rent out a bay in my 2 car garage for the winter. Located in Merrick, walking distance from train.
