As the weather is getting warmer, what are some fun/different date ideas for Long Island, including Queens?

I know the wineries in Riverhead are good...

My favorite place to go during the summer is bohemian hall in astoria.

Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden (http://www.bohemianhall.com/home.htm - broken link)

No, doesn't need to be only outdoor suggestions!

Raiser, in that beer garden you mentioned- do you mean to go to the bar/restaurant?

Thanks everyone else for your suggestions! :-)

Well there is a bar there.. but in the backyard of the place there is a huge picnic area with tons of good imported beer and Czech food. Its a city hot spot during the summer.

I'll second the Astoria Beer Garden too, great place!!! In the summer you're better off going on weekday nights as it can get PACKED. I don't know about the food but they've got a lot of great beer on tap. There's actually a similar beer garden in Rockville Centre, but it's not as good.

Woodcleft Canal/Nautical Mile in Freeport is definitely another winner

Czech food is very similar to German. They have burgers and other food too though. Besides the Nautical Mile another good place to visit is Fire Island.. you can pick up a ferry from Bayshore.
