Would appreciate any suggestions/recommendations in addition to Burner King (have some pretty negative web reviews). We're moving to Plainview around Sept or Oct & the house currently has oil heating & electric cooking. Would like to convert to gas for both.
200ish also. After I got my wood burning fire place insert, it dropped to about 150 a month. However the cost of firewood is way more than the savings in gas. But the wood burning insert warms up my great room way better than turning up the gas heat so its worth it to me. Gas bill in the summer is like $40.
Great thread here. Along the lines of what someone asked before, if converting from oil to gas heat, and there's already a gas line in the basement for the dryer and stove, would the cost be much less? i.e. - its the cost of the burner, water heater, and labor. Thinking about leaving the oil tank and just plugging the oil pipe from the outside.
