Never gonna happen. Even if it did, we would all be dead by the time it was done.

We saw what Sandy did ... we are essentially trapped here!
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Move. Same as the idiots in New Orleans, you know what the damage can be, so don't complain when it happens.

This is GOOD.
Governor Boy wants it so he can slap his name on it. It would be a boondoggle.

The Second Avenue Subway may not be finished in our lifetime, but even if it is, it will be stuck with reduced capacity. Thanks to a crucial decision made by the MTA back in the project’s first phase of construction, according to a newly published Regional Plan Association report, the new line will never carry as many passengers as it might have unless the MTA spends billions of dollars to fix a key problem.

The report, which concludes a two-year investigation into the MTA’s capital project overruns, notes that the MTA decided to reduce the number of tracks at the 72nd Street station, where the Q train arrives on the Second Avenue line, from three to two, while the number of platforms was reduced from two to one. This, the RPA says, will have a cascading effect on service, reducing the number of trains that can be run on the Second Avenue line and the Q once future phases of the project are complete.

Easier said than done I'm afraid! I have friends who own a south shore bay front home they easily would have cleared 950 to 1.1 prior to Sandy. After having in the market recently, starting in the low 700's and dropping it into the 600's with no serious buyers, they took it off the market and have decided to stay. They simply cannot clear enough equity to make their move feasible.

Yes, I know, things could worsen, but could also improve with the lingering fears and stigma subsiding. The community they are in has had so much improvement and new/replacement construction it honestly never looked better or more prominent than it does now, and I grew up and have lived most of my life on the Island.

And I'm in talks with Joey Buttafuoco to star in it.
