I bought my first home in Baldwin 3 years ago, a friend from Jersey was asking me about my sewage bill but I have never received or paid any bill.

Does anyone know if it’s included in my water bill?

Any info is appreciated

If you want to take the risk of getting dinged for three years back sewer bills, call here:

It's part of your property tax bill.

As Tom said, it's part of your tax bill in nassau. You may never see it if your mortgage co. is paying your taxes.

In parts of Suffolk you get a sewer bill every 3 months. I know someone who claims he has never received a sewer bill and says if they ever catch up to him he will not pay any back billing.

I am waiting to see this one play out as the sewer district can lien the property and sell at an auction

With the frequent issues that get posted about cesspools I would rather pay my sewage bill each quarter.

No question about it. Give me sewers over cesspools any day.

My sewer bill is only $37 a quarter.

What "frequent issues that get posted about cesspools?"

I've lived on Long Island for decades; always had cesspools and never had a cesspool issue. I believe my experience is quite representative.

A 60 year old block cesspool will need replacing at a one time cost, but otherwise it’s minimal maintenance. $200 every 5 years or so?

And you will never get a neighbor’s sewage backing up into your home.

I'm talking about people who post on this board in regards to them, glad you haven't had problems but others have and I would rather pay a sewage bill.
