Hello all. Will be taking a new job in New Rochelle. Hours are flexible. I can start anytime between 6:30am and 8:45am. I will be working an 8 hour day. Working from home on Fridays.
I will be commuting from Deer Park to New Rochelle. It looks like it's about an 1:10 in morning and 1:45ish in afternoon.
Is there a better time to leave coming in and going home that could make it a little shorter? Any advice would be great.
BTW have to clean energy pass so I can take the HOV lane. Thanks.
Those times sound more or less correct. I'd start as early as possible. Won't be much traffic at 5am, but it'll be starting to build by 6. Coming home is anybody's guess, but you can't go wrong by leaving as early as possible.

Yes I currently commute to 96th & 1st ave from Deer Park. In rush hour it's about 1:40 to 2 hours( afternoon 2ish hours). If I leave at 5:15am I can make it in about hour. Anytime after 5:30 it goes to 1:45ish. Just so hard to get up at 4:30-4:45. LOL. Guess I'm luck I can show up anytime and anyday from 6:15 to 8:30ish.
Thanks. Not getting into back and forth and with all due respect but I've been doing the commute for 3+ years and my afternoon commute has never went from 2 hours to 4 hours...not even 3 hours due to weather.
I can see the morning commute possibly doubling from 1:10( if leaving at 5am).
And you say ANY type of weather. Really? Any type of weather?
