Who's actually voting for a Democratic State Senator? I don't care about national politics. Please help me understand how a fully Democratic-controlled Albany will help Long Island.

Voting R in NY is like farting in the wind. But I do it anyway. D's do nothing but demonize my success, tax me to oblivion, while claiming I'm not paying my fair share.

Democrats get control of anything we are sooo screwed.
The Republicans are the lesser of the 2 evils.
Every time this new generation of Dems have control we get one step closer to communism.
I'd rather take my chances with Republicans.
At least things hold steady with the 2 parties fighting each other under Republican control.

Dems just want to tax us and give it to social welfare programs, they believe the answer to everything is more spending and more taxing.

Because that's just how it is. It's rigged. The 2 party system is way too powerful to allow another party to get in on the action.
We really need another civil war. It's the cold hard sad truth.
That's about the only way to take back control of the government.
Remember, they are supposed to be working for us but it's actually the other way around now.

That's not true. The Long Island NYS GOP Senators are in jeopardy. It definitely helps to vote for them. On a national level, the Gov or NYS Assembly I agree.

Here's what in store for us if the Dems take over New York:
  • Congestion pricing in Manhattan. You know, it makes sense for the cars to subsidize mass transit? Why not see WHY the MTA is such a bottomless pit?
  • Commuter tax. I really think they'll re-instate this to collect more money for social projects, like:
  • Single Payer Health Care. This is real, and the progressives from NYC will run Albany. It will be a total disaster.
  • Corruption. You think Albany is bad now? Just wait until Albany's control is all under one happy Democratic family. Now, it would make sense to elect a GOP NY AG, right?Anyway.
  • Tax cap. This has kept our taxes sort of in check and will most certainly be on the chopping block
So I'm curios why anyone would want this.
