I actually don't think this will have much of an impact on LI. This will cause queens to boom, and probably Manhattan more once they add more transit, but not LI.

If there is an influx of workers for this location then demand for housing may extend into the island but my impression is they will be drawing from the existing work force.

They should reactivate the Montauk line to be direct to LIC.

I disagree, at least partially. Queens will boom, prices will raise, and people move East. Over the years, more and more of my clients are moving from Brooklyn and Queens to Nassau/Suffolk

No question. Not all if these people will want to live in an urban setting. Additionally, rising queens prices will move people east. Nassau not Suffolk will reap most if the benefits here though.

This is supposed to be an executive office or warehouse/fulfillment center? If it's fulfillment, the jobs are gonna be low wage, and the work itself is slowly being mechanized and phased out.

Not seeing a big benefit to this for LIC and it will add to Queens congestion. It's already so difficult and slow getting on and off the Island. Off the mainland would be a better choice in my view. Northern NJ or perhaps Rockland County.
