Semi related GC question as it relates to construction. Am expanding footprint of 1st and 2nd floor. Does any one know of local Architects. Viscardi was recommended to us and just looking to get another name for comparison. Also, in terms of contractors, any thoughts on Old World Quality, Tarr, and Garden City Remodeling. I see all 3 working on major projects in town. From what i have heard, Old World is very good but super pricey vs the other two. Appreciate any feedback.

I drive by there every weekday and see construction. They still have the Leo's sign up and a note saying "Open in March".
All we heard while home was that they were closing and it was going the route of a more upscale restaurant. I have no idea if they will try to make a go of it in a more expensive dining market or not.

It wasn’t about being impressive. Guess you had to grow up there. Can’t wait to see what soulless “gastropub” they put in its place.

Without naming some of the unique non-chain restaurants that have opened in GC during the last few years (check Yelp if you need to), the odds are pretty good that we'll get a nice replacement for Leo's.

The "point" of Leo's is that it had been a gathering place for years and for many, sort of a right of passage. Many a bridal party made a stop there. It was a local place. No, it never had phenomenal food and didn't pretend to. It was pub food maybe a 1/2 notch up for when they introduced certain entrees. You went to Leo's because it was GC's version of Cheers.

Rhetorically, speaking, in our circle we all had a version of Cheers.

Looks like they renovated and reopened the spot under new management.
Same name, same staff.
