Where I live the typical landscaper takes about 45 minutes to an hour and just about everyone has a landscaper. When they have 2 gas powered leaf blowers each over 100 db going at the same you can't stay outside!

Everyone should google noise induced hearing loss.

North Hempstead Town's doing something about it.

45 to 60 minutes to do a single weekly cut??? How big are the lots there? and what kind of work are they doing?

Because I have a half acre with multiple raised beds that they have to mow and then weed-whack around, plus a large patio, a brick walkway, and a 1.5 car driveway that's 60 ft long ... and they are done in 15 minutes. Guy #1 on the riding mower, guy #2 follows right behind with the weed whacker along the raised beds and the edges walkway/patio edges, and finally guy #3 comes along with the leaf blower on the hardscape areas. I know that's how fast they're done because 95% of the time I'm at home when they do it. Mow/whack/blow, that's it, done, $30/week.

My previous house was on 1/2 acre also and although I had various crews for the same work during the decade we were there, they were all in and out in 15 minutes. Twenty, tops, if the grass was long or wet or there were a lot of leaves on it in, say, early October.

Unless the lots are 1 acre or more I can't see that possibly taking almost an hour to complete.

Yep. OCD retired neighbor does a one hour leafblow basically every day. Ok, I'm exaggerating...342 days a year... seriously.

I'd rather the shrieking kids. Kids yelling Marco Polo aren't releasing carcinogens and kicking up feces, mold, and heavy metal particles in the air. And being a kid is normal. Leaf blowing your yard every single day is not.

I agree, every day is ridiculous. Once a week, fine. During spring and fall cleanups. But I would go nuts too if someone next door was leaf-blowing for an hour each day year round.

Someone should buy the guy an iPad and get him hooked on a time-sucking game. Fortnite, maybe. Tell him that when he gets to level 2000 he'll get a giant leaf blower as a weapon, LOL
