Rite Aid (formerly Genovese) in NHP closing (Hyde Park, New Hyde Park: sale, buying)

The location on Hillside Avenue in New Hyde Park next to Stop and Shop is closing after the sale to Walgreens because they have another Walgreens a block away. I've been going to that store since the 1970s when it was Genovese Drugs, mainly for non-prescription items. They always had a lot of departments including auto supplies. I remember buying sealed beam headlights and auto touch up paint there in the 1970s. It's a shame they are closing after all these years.
