I am planning on relocating to Long Island from Pennsylvania! Could anyone please give me some truthful info on a good place to live? I was looking into Franklin Square,Massapequa,Lynbrook, and a few other places! I am in a interracial relationship (i am black he is white), and I was wondering what areas I should avoid as far as acceptance? Where I live now it is accepting and I want to know what areas are also! You can email me or reply on here! All help is apprciated!
I think Lynbrook, Rockville Centre, Baldwin, Oceanside, Long Beach would all be good choices. Are you looking to rent or buy-some of these towns have tons of beautiful rentals.
I was also looking into Mineola. I am looking into crime and schools. I don't live in the ghetto and don't want too! Those are the main issues I am concerned with! Any other advice I would greatly appreciate! Thank you!
Generally speaking you might want to check towns in western Nassau, such as Lynbrook. Baldwin might be an option because it's a very mixed neighborhood but be sure to research the schools (I honestly don't know if there's any issues with the schools or not).
That said, of course you can be accepted and make good friends and neighbors anywhere. However, it depends what else you're looking for. If you're looking to join golf clubs, etc., I'm not sure how accepting they would be. Then again, they wouldn't take me either!
I am goingto look into Bellmore. I am going to take my time when looking! I really appreciate the advice!
