I still cant believe with the amount of Upstate students on LI that no ones nailed the cold cheese slice.
Good call! Oneonta had some great places for that. I have requested it on the Island and most don't know what you are talking about. I make my own at home and now I know what I am having for dinner tonight!

I personally like Grimaldi's in Garden City. And no, it doesn't just live solely on its name. I believe it's actually worth its own salt. Another decent one that I have been to is Nino's on Linden Boulevard in Elmont.
Agreed...If I lived in Elmont I'd go to Spumoni Gardens.
Its safer there anyway. Lots of pinky rings.
; )
Crooks
You haven't been on the Belt in the last decade, have you? lol
with gas $4+, that would be some expensive pizza. Both Umbertos are dynamite and the best if youre in the West Nassau area. Theres some old school I-talians in that area of east elmont, The riff raff keeps its distance from places like this.

Have you? theres a reason folks are being priced out and moving to Nassau.
Yes...Vinnie Inceptaverdi comes to mind.
Now if we were talking Pequa youd have a point my friend. Badabing!
I do agree....Umbertos is really quite good, no Spumoni Gardens or even Collisseo for that matter but excellent in its own right.
Personally Ill splurge the 4 dollars to drive the 15 miles for some of the best pizza on the planet.
I were in W Nass. I'd embrace my back yard Brooklyns awesome again.
great suggestion! my neighbor's dog and the homeless guy behind Waldbaums agree!
There is also a nice place across the street for your fine dining, now a new motel..haha
