Hello! We have just sold our home and are looking to move to East Islip, Islip terrace, Bohemia, or Oakdale areas. We've found a few homes within Islip Terrace (all three houses are sitting in a neighborhood between Sunrise Hwy and I believe Carlton Ave. Right near the cluster of East Islip schools on Richard and Nassau Str). We have a 5 year old and really want to make sure we are moving him into a good, and safe area. We have heard great things about East Islip SD. Good, safe area? Alot of rentals? We have had terrible experience with rentals near our past home. Quiet area? Please help us with your knowledge on this, and/or other areas listed. We thank you!

Area is still ok. Problem with both Richard and Nassau is they are main feeds to ITHS and EIHS so you'll have traffic to deal with and don't park in streets as they are both very narrow.

East Islip for the win.
All those areas are fine but I think E Islip wins out overall.

Just moved to East Islip in december, havent been here long but for the short time i have been here i can say its been a very nice place. People are out walking their dogs, or walking to the Islip train station in the morning with out much a care it seems. Stores are plentiful and close by. Thats all i really have to add at this point, guess ill find out more once the warmer months come and neighbors start to show their truer colors.

I agree with East Islip too. I didn’t buy in that area (Country Village) only because the tax were $11, 000 and that was 13 years ago. I cant Imagine what they are now? $15K +/-
