Hello all. How busy is 25A in Northport near Vernon Valley Rd? Have seen a few nice houses we liked over there but were a little concerned it may be too busy of a street to buy a house near. We saw a house on Soper Ave which is right off of 25A a little while back, and were hesitant about being so close to the main road. We love the neighborhood and village, just the homes we liked on flat land or not on a busy road have been going quickly. Does this hurt resale value as well being close to a major road? Thanks!

Live near it? OK. You'll just deal with road noise, may be the tradeoff you have to make. Live ON it? Nope.

It's not so busy that if you live near it the road noise would bother you. However, it is busy enough that I would be concerned about living right on it. You may find it difficult to pull in and out of your driveway.

The nice part is that you will be walking distance to the shopping center, the bad part is that it might be a bit louder.
Nevertheless, It is a nice street, imo.
There are quite a few houses for sale right now in Northport.
Best of luck.
