Like graduating percentage, test scores, etc, etc...

Was talking to a friend about buying a house in Farmingdale and she said something about the high school graduation rate to be like 55% or something crazy like that. Since I'm looking to buy a house soon, I'd like to be able to compare/contrast school districts.

Thanks.

there are a whole bunch of armchair QBs who can tell you which schools are the best....most in the F-dale area have well over 90% grad rate. That includes an 85% community college rate and a 110% live off mommy and daddy's teat until they die rate.

So there is no official website? or does the school's website show info on it? I guess I can just try google.

Having been there myself (and still there) I also used newsday where you can get a snapshot here:
https://projects.newsday.com/schools...grad/2018/2018

It's showing Farmingdale at 438 (89.6%)
Honestly I am surprised at some of these graduation rates, where do rest of the kids go? Just drop out? Do they count people who move out of state?

Some HS with 3000 kids, at 85-90% Grad rate, and 12th grade is what 500 kids?
If 65 kids don't graduate, that's a HUGE number, isn't it. 65 kids in a school just drop out?
I am not talking about Farmingdale specifically but look at those rates.

I don't know if mods care about schools, it would be great if we could have a sticky with resources for schools, everyone just goes to GreatSchools and think the rating 7-10 means great but there are far more sources they could check. How about middle schools? Do people not care about them anymore?
