Sanitation deserves its tax revenue. But if I really spoke my mind, every teacher and cop on Long Island (and in my family) would post in opposition.
can i grieve my own taxes or does a lawyer has to do it but they take 50% of the money how do i do it myself

Start with calling your town assessor...they have the information. You do need to do a lot of digging to get all the info you need. I was successful in getting my taxes lowered...but only by about 10%. I have since filed a small claims review with Suffolk county. It is a lot of work collecting everything you need...and with the above discussed companies they do everything for you. So its basically what your priority is...saving money or time.

It never will, kind of like when the cabbies cry for a fuel surcharge but never take it away when gas goes down, once the gov't see's it can get it's hands on your cashola it'll never let go.
