Is there a way to quickly pull building permits and the name of architects / contractors who work on homes? In NYC, there are websites like the Dept of Buildings or NYC ZoLa where you can pull any home's permits pretty easily. I saw a few homes in Great Neck that I am trying to emulate when designing my home in Queens and just wanted to find who the architect and builders on them were.
On Long Island, permits are issued by the town. In some towns you can get a history on line, but I don't think there are any which give the level of detail that you are looking for. Your best bet is to go to the building department in person.
