Not an option, my brother lives with them and he has a good job in Manhattan and he uses public transportation.

There is a bus to the subway in Jamaica the N6 that runs very frequently along Hempstead Tpke in Franklin Square and Elmont. Lynbrook and Valley Stream have LIIR stations on Sunrise Hwy. You can walk there from many homes.

I'll look into it, thanks.

I know, but middle village is next to impossible to afford for me, last time I saw a house for under $500k it have a nasty addition that you could tell it didn't belong to the house and a small backyard facing the cemetery lol.

Lynbrook and Franklin Square are majority white and Asian and Elmont and Valley Stream have more African American and West Indian residents. But the income and educational levels are rather similar.

Franklin square has a larger Hispanic population than Asian plus an African American population. It’s actually quite diverse.
