Hi guys, I am living in village of thomaston and I need to remove 2 trees around my house.
Here are some questions:
1. what's the process of getting a permit?
- I can download the application online, fill it and hand in the village office? https://www.villageofthomaston.org/F...e%20Permit.pdf
- I am not sure I understand all the required information in the application, especially items 3,4,5,6, do I need to find an arborist to create a report?
2. one of the tree is in front of the house and is dead, do I still need a permit for removing the tree?
My mother has a house in Thomaston and just cuts trees down left and right without permits. She's chinese so she doesn't care about permits, and the tree guys apparently don't care. She's also lets bamboo grow wild everywhere. I'm assuming the neighbors must hate her. The only ticket she ever got from the town was for wrong refuse on recycling day, go figure.
