As a matter of fact, between Queens, Nassau and Suffolk, there are currently approx. 28,000 licensed real estate individuals.
Of course a lot of them have either part time or full time jobs, but still - it is a lot of competition. And it most certainly isn't as easy as it looks to actually come home with $$ in your pocket--eventually

It's gotten more comprehensive (now 75 hours, instead of 45 hours) and therefore more expensive, but if you study and have common sense (not common anymore it seems), you can pass the school's and then the State tests.
