Parts of Italy are now in lock down as the Novel Coronavirus (Wuhan Flu) is starting to hit them hard. They have over 275+ cases already. I hope to God we don't see this turn into the virus spreading here.

I heard it was stomach issues. I'm pretty sure Coronavirus doesn't cause stomach issues …

Usual jumping-the-gun fear mongering

I heard the opposite. People with coronavirus are getting diarrhea and GI issues too. A lot of people are asymptomatic for 14- 28 days before they are being tested positive. I understand that it may be fear mongering, but we all know Communist China is not very honest and are hiding the true numbers of cases and deaths. Several doctors have come out and said the cases and deaths are at least 5x-10x greater.

I don't think it is fear mongering to be ready for when it arrives here. With the huge Chinese population in NY we have, I have a feeling the ((blank)) is going to hit the fan soon. I think it is better to get prepared now then sitting on our hands and being left unprepared with no plan in case it starts spreading in NY. It's better to be safe than sorry.

With the amount of cases that are spreading very fast around the world in even areas that we would have never guessed it would hit (Iran, Iraq, Italy, Australia etc...), I have a hard time believing there aren't a whole crapload of cases here in NY. Especially since we have huge populations of Chinese in NYC and Flushing, Queens.

My mom works in a hospital in Queens and said the ER is packed with pneumonia and flu-like cases. They are sending most people home and telling them to take tylenol and telling them to get bed rest. They should be testing these people in my opinion.

It is not a matter of will it hit NY, but when. I bet it's already here.

San Francisco just declared a state of emergency to prepare for the Coronavirus. I think New York State and especially NYC should work quick to try to keep this from becoming an epidemic here.

"We see the virus spreading in new parts of the world every day, and we are taking the necessary steps to protect San Franciscans from harm,” said Mayor Breed.

With all the feces, needles and homeless people on the streets of California, I think it's going to get really bad over there. NYC is a filthy mess too with that current commie progressive Mayor running things. I don't think DeBlosio gives a rat's balloon knot about the safety of the people. Hopefully the politicians on Long Island will do their best to keep us safe, but I don't feel very confident.

There is no evidence of this as of yet. Could it happen? Sure, it might, but to spread fear in the absence of evidence is equally wrong. You can suggest we not bury our heads in the sand, but if you are worried personally then self quarantine until it is over.

What are they prepared to do about it? The way to slow the spread of this virus is to shut down all international flights and close our borders. Which kinda sounds like racist Trump stuff, right? So Democrats obviously wouldn't want to do those things.

I guess we are really asking "How can we be protected from this virus, while also keeping open borders and not hurting the feelings of any holy People of Color?"
