Actually yes. My sanity is important. Supporting ppl making a living is important ... i care about kids being able to eat. So yes.
You could do all of that without crossing state lines. Right out a check to a charity or a small business owner who is hurting. Kindness goes a long way in making you feel good.
When New Yorkers hit CT like locusts, they will shut down CT again.
Face it, NYers caused this crap to spread because they couldn't hunker down. The East end, and Poconos were hit hard by NYers who couldn't sit still.

Charities dont always do the right things with $. I’d have to find a good one that doesnt put it into the CEO’s pocket.
I’d love to put my $$ toward a NY small business but nothing is open in NY so if it’s CT, it’s CT. Don’t really care. When CT opens, I’ll be going there.

So you're really concerned about people not being able to get food, but you have no idea which charities can successfully help with that. Got it.
Aren't you in Valley Stream? Email their Chamber of Commerce and get the owner's name of a place you liked. Send him a check. Or spend the money on take out from a local place and tip the delivery guy good.

I suppose but food delivery ppl have been working. I would rather give to a small business that has been closed.

You are skutching to get out and support those businesses, there must be one you like. Or isn't there? Are there small businesses you usually support? Send an email to one or a letter and ask them how you can buy a gift card for when they re-open. And you entirely missed the point of my last post...which was you're so concerned about starving children but have obviously never thought of helping them before this.
And why anyone would want to open too soon and have to do this all over again is beyond me. We’re almost there.
Even if we get "there" what makes you think it's not happening again?
