And by the way I work for the state as a tradesman and still have to work 2 other jobs to get by. And didn’t the governor this week say out over 1,000 people who came to the hospitals last week 66 percent of them haven’t really left their house since the started and were over 51 and either unemployed or retired.
No, the governor did not say that 66% of the people who have contracted the virus haven't left their houses. What he said was that a certain percentage came from nursing homes, another percentage were people who were regularly working and 66% were people who were not working for one reason or another.

There has been no tracing of individuals so there is no way of telling what those people have been doing, or what the people they live with have been doing. No measure of distancing, mask wearing, shopping, demonstrating, church-going. No way at all to determine what they had been doing, how many people they came into contact with every day or how they got infected.

The only proven way that people in the United States have gotten this disease is from other people; taking no steps to minimize such contact at this time is deadly.

You are looking for the Assembly to be better leaders than Cuomo? I am not a big Cuomo fan, but he is much more intelligent than the mouth breathers in the Assembly, particularly those from NYC.

well having the entire state be in charge by 1 person is not a way to run a democratic republic. Right now too much power is in 1 person's hand, and thats not right

So giving more power to the folks who pushed for ending bail and releasing thousands of criminals is a better solution? I could only imagine what they would dream of doing as a power grab in this situation of panic.

We are all impatient right now and would like things to loosen up a bit. It is frustrating to live this way.

NY has seen huge drops in daily deaths BUT NY still leads the nation in daily Covid 19 deaths by far. We are the epicenter, we will open up last.

NY is doing better than any other state. We’re through it. I don’t know anyone taking the lockdown seriously anymore. Just try keeping people in on Memorial Day weekend. Not going to happen.

Likely the true infection number in NY is millions. Mortality rate is sub .5%.

if you notice cuomo and dr zucker dont talk about the results of the random test they are doing, which shows millions of people have been infected with antibodies and the death rate is 0.5. This ruins their narrative so you will never hear about it.

this has gone on long enough it went from flattening the curve and now that the curve is flat they add 7 more milestones we have to get to before we open

the extra $600 a week unemployment ends in July, and with the rest of america open, no more bailouts for the people. No more $1200 checks, no more $600 a week extra unemployment. this means everyone in expensive NY will only get $430 a week after taxes from unemployment.

Nearly 1 in 7 people in New York who were randomly tested for coronavirus antibodies turned out to have them, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced today (April 23). In New York City, the number is even higher: About 1 in 5 people tested positive for antibodies to SARS-CoV-2.

If those early results translate to the rest of the New York population, that would mean about 2.7 million people across the state would have been infected.
The antibodies suggest these people were exposed at one point to the coronavirus and recovered, Cuomo said. However, it is still not known whether or not these people are now immune to it.

New York began a statewide antibody study on Monday (April 20) and has collected around 3,000 samples from 40 locations in 19 counties across the state so far. In New York City, around 21% of randomly sampled people had antibodies against the coronavirus; on Long Island, about 16.7% had antibodies; in Westchester and Rockland around 11.7% had antibodies; and in the rest of the state 3.6% had antibodies, Cuomo said.

These tests were conducted over a two-day period at grocery stores and other big box stores. "The sample was by definition people who were outside the home," Cuomo said. "So we have to analyze that, what does that do to the numbers." These weren't people who were home, isolated or quarantined, Cuomo said. "What does that mean, I don't know. "People who tend to stay home likely have lower rates of infection, he added.

If the actual infection rate among the entire population is similar to the early sample infection rate they found of 13.9%, it would change the death rate of the state, Cuomo said. New York is reporting 15,500 COVID-19 deaths, and if 2.7 million people were infected, that would mean the death rate would be 0.5%, Cuomo said.

This. If certain blue states want to remain locked down indefinitely they are going to have to figure out how to pay for it themselves as the rest of the country isn't going to pay them not to work.

In your first paragraph you say he’s trying to hide stats. In your last paragraph you directly attribute a quote on the same exact stats to him. Which is it?

The VERY NEXT LINE after the headline in your linked article is "it's not yet clear if they are now immune". Skipped right over the sub headline, eh?

the fact he hasnt talked about it since, or he dodges the question. the articles is almost 3 weeks old. Whats the real death rate in NY? Its not what they tell us, because even with all the test test test they take, they still cant give us an answer. Can you find the current death rate? These need to factor in cuomos "metrics".

and I love how they know everything about the virus but they still dont know if after you have been sick, if your immune.

makes no sense millions all of the world have been infected with the trillions pouring in for research they still dont know. This proves they are trying to prolong this crisis.

Just put someone with anti bodies in a room full of sick corona virus patients and see if they get sick! Your telling me they still dont know? Or havent even tried? Or even have a clue, or an idea? Nobody in the world has tried the experiment? Yeah something is not right here, something is not right at all!

Unfortunately, ALOT of deaths, are being blamed on coronavirus, even if its not. I have a nurse friend, where the hospitals just assume the death was coronavirus, and mark it as that. Its ridiculous.
