You know no one likes true statistics and numbers on this site. I think more and more experts are also believing that it’s a virus that has to run its course.
The southern states are leveling off and now the virus is moving to the mid west states.
Wether or not it can make a 2nd round to previously infected areas & the severity of it is tbd.

It’s looking more and more likely that this virus just has to make its rounds. Sweden had no major lock down. There is a CD member who lives there giving his story of how it really is there.
The CDC thinks the infection rate is up to 10x higher than what is being reported.
Which, if correct, drives down the percentage of deaths from the virus, but that also means that only 11.6 percent of the US population has had it. (Somebody check my numbers)
/\ One would imagine that dense areas that have been walloped by Covid-19, 10X is probably a low estimate and for the less dense areas which have only been lightly touched by Covid-19, 10X is probably a high estimate.
That might explain why we are seeing very inefficient spread and very low (if any) subsequent Covid-19 death numbers here on LI and NYC.
No lasting or robust immunity has been demonstrated for individuals who have contracted COVID-19. Without individual immunity there is no chance of herd immunity occurring.

Sweden says it all, Jack (BTW Sweden didn’t send infected patients into nursing homes and thus has 1/6 the amount of deaths compared to disasterous NYS- 1/3 adjusted for population)

You are correct, Sweden says it all. Jack.
Roughly half of Sweden's COVID-19 cases were from Care Homes. Sweden's total cases and deaths were disproportionally higher than their neighboring Scandinavian countries.
Why you would propose that Sweden somehow has handled the crisis well is as perplexing as your claims regarding herd immunity.
