I dont understand how they can survive another year of cuomo...

https://spectrumlocalnews.com/nys/ce...or-restaurants

The statewide 11 p.m. curfew on some businesses will be lifted at the start of next month, but will remain in place for bars and restaurants for now, Governor Andrew Cuomo said Wednesday in a conference call with reporters.
Gyms, bowling alleys, casinos, and pool halls will no longer have the curfew beginning April 5.
The 11 p.m. curfew for restaurants and midnight curfew for catered events will stay in place “for now.”

Cuomo says his team is currently reviewing those curfews and the data that goes along with them. The state will reassess that statute in April.

I have been noticing as other states open their economies, cuomo isnt taking anyone questions from the press

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtBvn5BSj7Y

its been almost 2 weeks since hes taken questions from the media... he now has a cheer leading squad with him, the other day he went to Harlem where black politicians praised him

today, he had baseball players praising him

its getting repetitive and predicable ... mean while biden says

https://gothamist.com/news/harlem-le...xcluding-press

at a press call later in the day, Cuomo said he would no longer be answering questions about allegations of sexual harassment against him, citing the assembly’s investigations.“I’m gonna respect the review and I won’t comment on it or related matters,” he said. “Let the lawyers do their job and let them conduct the review and then we can talk about it when we have facts established.”
The fervent defense of Cuomo came five days after most of New York’s congressional delegation demanded Cuomo’s resignation, including both U.S. Senators for New York, Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand. On Tuesday night, in an interview with ABC News Anchor George Stephanopolus, Biden reiterated his earlier statements that if investigations confirm the allegations of sexual harassment, Cuomo should resign, suggesting he could also face criminal repercussions.

“I think he’d probably end up being prosecuted, too,” Biden said.

He will never survive this so it will be over shortly. The real shame is that the sexual harassment is what will hang him and not all the lost souls in nursing homes. Sexual harassment is not to be diminished, as it is awful indeed, however, he should have been gone a long time ago with the blood he has on his hands.

If everything would have remained open the nursing home death tolll prolly would have been 2x worse

Like nursing homes ever had a reputation of cleanliness and no abuse.

Florida has a larger elderly population than nys.
They have remained mostly opened during the entire crisis.
Their nursing home deaths are significantly less than NY. And this is only with official numbers- not the undercounted NY nursing home deaths which makes it even worse.

Cuomo made an error of judgement with the nursing home decision. Its not a crime, and it can be understandable in the midst of a novel pandemic. Especially with a favorable media, if he just admitted it was bad decision, nothing would come of it. However, the crime is the cover up- especially obstruction of justice to a federal inquiry. He has too much hubris to ever admit he made mistake.

Glad the metoo'ers have ruined the political career, but the NH error is far worse.

Doc, not comparable. Like NYC has anything resembling the Villages.

NYC nursing homes = unclean and the residents get abused.

I am willing to bet that nursing homes in FL have way higher standards than NY though. Nursing homes in NY have not been looked upon in a favorable light even before Covid. Only reason FL's governor let everything stay open is because FL makes no money besides Mickey Mouse and oranges.

You also conveniently forgot to mention Florida had no state mandate forcing covid + patients back to the nursing home.

Desantis actually did the exact opposite of Cuomo, and actiively transferred covid + and suspected + cases into the hospital.

Boom! Pow!

Let’s face it Cuomo sucks. Besides that Florida had been open for a while. It’s nothing like here. I’ve been seeing pictures for months with packed bars, small venues etc with not a mask in site.
