I wonder how our "great nation" would respond today to something akin to another World War.
Give up rubber products simply so we can fight a war half way around the world? I thought this was the land of the free.....
I got called up by the draft board but I'm not reporting, let the European's figure it out for themselves, why should I risk dying for foreigners....
***'s in America? Let's send them all back home....
It's embarrassing how **** poor we have responded to a historically significant pandemic. Politicizing the wearing of masks and implementing restrictions to public spaces, claiming that scientifically proven data is a hoax, refusing to do what is sensibly appropriate because it infringes upon your freedoms.
Wrapping this up in style and explicitly requiring people to do what they should anyway, simply as a means of having their ticket back to normal punched, makes sense. We haven't exactly stepped up as a free and informed society to easily do the right things this past year, no reason to assume that will change any time soon.
Great post. Sadly, we may need to understand that republics usually survive approx. 250 years give or take. We are in year 245. If it feels like we're long in the tooth, dysfunctional. unhealthy, out of touch and beyond repair...well, we probably are. And republics die from bankruptcy and internal strife (partisan politics anyone), not war. America is dumbed down and politically paralyzed with little remedy in sight. It's Asia's turn. Plan accordingly.

Can you imagine how people would react if the government started to ration food like they did in WW2?
Imagine a war where the US had to have a draft. We would be done! These snowflakes today would no way set foot in a war zone. America as we once knew it is done. Cancel this and cancel that. I’m so done with it all.

Same answer to you as to the person who first posted that link. Nothing in that press release indicates ownership of the vaccine is maintained by the state or federal government. Both my Moderna shots at Walgreen's indicated a cost to Walgreens of $2.59 for the dosage.
I am all for it as long as i have to show ID to vote also.
Lol amen.
Until then, hell naw.
