Got a ticket for a red light by a cop the other day but I'm sure it was yellow. Just trying to gauge what my chances are of getting it reduced or dismissed. Thanks for any input!

Ask the cop if he ever went back to see if the traffic light was functioning correctly. If not, it may be grounds for dismissal

GC? I wouldn't bother fighting it. They want and need the money.

Is this a separate court than for Nassau county?

Just went to Nassau County Traffic and Parking Violations last month for a blown stop sign
They offer you a jaywalking plea right off the bat (3rd time there for stop sign, not all mine, but they offered it right off)
They said if i lost the case, it would cost more but total cost was
$150 Summons
$45 Drivers resp fee
$55 Public safety fee
$2 convince fee (credit card)

$252

Different situation from yours but just sharing some info
