We currently have gas coming into our house for cooking but use oil for heating and electric for water (yes yes I know). Our boiler and water heater are 35+ and 15+ years old, respectively. As I was looking to signing an oil contract, I wondered if it made sense to just bite the bullet and convert it all to gas. Perhaps get a combi boiler/heater.
Does anyone have recommendations for contractors that do this conversion in Nassau? I know it's going to depend on the kind of boiler I get but generally what would you consider a fair estimate for this? Also, do they take care of the heater & boiler disposal for you as well?
You don't get a contractor for this conversion, you get a plumber. And hopefully a licensed one. There are many available in Nassau. Just Google plumbers in Nassau county and many will come up. I suggest that you get at least 4 estimates as the quotes will vary.
I used oceanside plumbing a few years back on my conversion they did a great job. They disposed of all the old equipment yes
